QSENSATO secures €1M to build quantum sensor fabrication facility
QSENSATO, a quantum sensing startup and spin-off from the University of Bari Aldo Moro, has secured €1 million in SAFE investment to establish an in-house fabrication facility. The funding round was led by Quantonation and included participation from Deep Ocean Capital.
The new production center is planned for the TecnoPolis Science and Technology Park in Valenzano, Bari, and is expected to be operational by the end of the year. This facility will allow the company to scale the manufacturing of its patented integrated atomic vapor cells, which are essential components for compact quantum sensors used in medical diagnostics, navigation, and infrastructure monitoring.
To further validate its fabrication processes, QSensato has entered into a research agreement with Italy’s National Institute of Metrological Research (INRiM) in Turin. The company has previously received support from Liftt, Quantum Italia, and various European space and regional development programs.
