Quadri Taiwo attracts 1.8 million euro offer amid prolific Liga 2 form

Nigerian striker Quadri Taiwo, currently on loan from U Cluj to SC Popești-Leordeni, has become a standout performer in the Romanian second division. The 20-year-old has scored 12 goals in just nine matches, including two hat-tricks, most recently leading his team to a 3-0 victory over Metaloglobus.

His rapid scoring rate has attracted international interest. Austrian Bundesliga club Grazer AK is reportedly preparing a transfer offer of approximately 1.8 million euros to acquire the player in the January 2027 transfer window. This would represent a significant profit for U Cluj, having originally acquired Taiwo from the Jimmy Football Academy for 150,000 euros.
