Quaest poll on 2026 Brazilian presidential election due Friday

A new Genial/Quaest presidential election poll is scheduled for release on Friday, August 14. The survey, registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under protocol BR-06773/2026, aims to provide an updated snapshot of the 2026 race just before the official campaign begins.

Commissioned by Banco Genial at a cost of R$ 314,628, the study involves face-to-face interviews with 2,004 voters aged 16 and older across Brazil. The results will feature a margin of error of two percentage points and a 95% confidence level.

Beyond measuring voting intentions for first and second-round scenarios, the poll will explore candidate rejection rates, voter sentiments, and ideological identification. It also includes specific inquiries regarding the use of artificial intelligence and the potential for foreign government interference in the election process. The questionnaire lists 13 candidates, including Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Flávio Bolsonaro, Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, and Renan Santos.
