Qualco expands into defense, AI, and real estate sectors
Qualco is expanding its operations into real estate, embedded finance, and defense and civil protection technologies. The group aims to leverage its technological foundation to enter new markets and increase profitability through the use of artificial intelligence and dual-use technologies.
As of June 30, 2026, the company reported an order backlog of €762 million, providing significant revenue visibility for the next five years. Of this backlog, €335 million, or approximately 44%, is derived from international clients.
In the first half of 2026, Qualco recorded revenues of €101.1 million, a 14% increase compared to the €88.6 million reported in the same period of 2025. Adjusted EBITDA rose by 3% to €13.4 million, though profit margins decreased to 13.2% from 14.7% due to increased spending on execution capabilities and AI investments.
In the real estate sector, the group manages over 8,500 properties, with more than 1,600 already matured and valued at over €200 million. The company is utilizing Uniko to strengthen its footprint in asset management and commercial exploitation.
