Leadership sacrifices organizational culture to meet business goals
A survey conducted by Instituto QualiBest for iFood involving 1,406 professionals reveals a significant gap between corporate discourse and practice regarding organizational culture. While 89% of respondents believe a strong culture leads to better results, 58% admit that culture is often the first element to weaken under pressure to meet targets.
Specifically, 41% of leaders surveyed admitted to sacrificing important cultural aspects to achieve objectives. The study highlights a disconnect in perception across hierarchical levels: 60% of C-level executives and directors believe culture is practiced daily, compared to only 23% of analysts.
Furthermore, 65% of managers and directors noted that training and well-being initiatives are the first to be cut during high-pressure periods. The research indicates that 60% of respondents identify high and middle management as the areas where the greatest inconsistency between stated values and actual practice occurs.
