Qualitas Energy starts construction of 42 MW Ingstetten wind farm in Baden‑Württemberg

Qualitas Energy has begun construction on the repowering of the Ingstetten wind park in Baden‑Württemberg, Germany. Five older NEG Micon NM 48 turbines are being removed and replaced with six Enercon E‑175 units, each rated at 7 MW, bringing the site’s total capacity to 42 MW. The project is expected to generate enough renewable electricity to supply roughly 28,000 households.

The ground‑breaking ceremony on 29 July was attended by local and regional officials, including Landtag member Michael Joukov, Schelklingen mayor’s representative Josef Schmid, Ingstetten mayor Dieter Schmucker, and representatives of the Alb‑Donau district administration. Qualitas Energy CEO Johannes Overbeck highlighted the development as a key milestone for the company’s German wind‑energy platform, while project manager Christopher Koller emphasized the efficiency gains from the newer turbines. The new turbines are slated for commissioning after construction is completed, further supporting Germany’s energy transition goals.
