Qualität im Dialog wins second place at German Kita-Preis

The alliance ‘Qualität im Dialog’ has been awarded second place in the 2021 German Kita-Preis. Operating across the Lower Saxony municipalities of Auetal, Rinteln, and Hessisch Oldendorf, the initiative focuses on developing daycare quality through active participation from all stakeholders.

Children, parents, providers, and specialists from 29 daycare centers engage in dialogue through various methods, including professional exchange days, family information evenings, and parent surveys. Notably, children contribute their perspectives via ‘drawing interviews,’ using smileys to rate locations, or recording video messages to express their wishes.

The jury praised the alliance for its ability to utilize existing resources across three municipalities to advance early childhood education and democratic promotion at a high level.
