Qualys expands TotalAI to enhance enterprise AI governance

Qualys has announced the expansion of TotalAI, an AI security offering built on its Enterprise TruRisk Platform. The update is designed to help organizations discover, assess, monitor, and govern AI risks throughout both development and production environments.

The platform provides visibility into various AI assets, including AI agents, models, cloud AI services, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, AI containers, and browser-based AI applications. It aims to address the challenges of shadow AI and rapid enterprise adoption by identifying vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and exposed secrets early in the development process.

Key features include testing large language models for prompt injection, jailbreaks, and unsafe outputs before deployment, as well as providing runtime visibility into AI workloads using kernel-level instrumentation. Qualys stated that these capabilities are intended to help enterprises meet emerging regulatory and governance expectations in regions such as the United States and the European Union.
