Quang Ngai accelerates key infrastructure and economic projects

Quang Ngai province is pushing to advance 21 key socio-economic development projects, comprising 11 public investment projects and 10 non-budgetary investment projects. While some works show significant progress, challenges remain regarding land clearance, resettlement, and the supply of construction materials.

In the public investment sector, the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road (Phase IIa and IIb) has reached over 90% completion. The Hoang Sa - Doc Soi road project has achieved approximately 41.5% construction value, with 63.2% of allocated capital disbursed. Additionally, the pre-feasibility study for the Quang Ngai - Kon Tum expressway has been completed and submitted for review.

Regarding non-budgetary projects, the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 steel complex has commenced trial operations for its hot-rolled coil production line, boasting a capacity of 5.6 million tons per year. However, the VSIP II Quang Ngai project faces delays, with land compensation currently covering only 32.7% of the required area.
