Quang Ngai aims to become a national marine economic center

A delegation from the Ministry of Finance, led by Minister Ngo Van Tuan, met with the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee to discuss socio-economic development and local recommendations. The province aims to transform into a national marine economic center.

Between 2021 and 2025, Quang Ngai reported significant economic growth. In 2025, the province's GRDP reached 92,348 billion VND, a 10.02% increase from 2024, ranking it 6th among 34 provinces in Vietnam for growth rate. The average annual GRDP growth for the 2021-2025 period was 11.8%, with per capita GRDP reaching 4,042 USD.

Regarding fiscal performance, the province's state budget revenue exceeded estimates for five consecutive years. For the first eight months of 2026, revenue reached 23,946 billion VND, representing 111.5% of the same period in 2025. Public investment disbursement as of August 20, 2026, stood at 2,797 billion VND, or 34.9% of the annual plan assigned by the Prime Minister.
