Quang Ninh education sector implements restructuring and AI integration

The Quang Ninh Department of Education and Training has announced its strategic direction for the 2026-2027 school year, focusing on the theme “Innovation in thinking - Strong transformation - Substantial results.”

During the 2025-2026 academic year, the province implemented a major restructuring of its educational network, reducing the number of educational institutions by nearly 50%. This reorganization aimed to streamline management, increase autonomy, and improve administrative efficiency while maintaining stable teaching and learning activities.

To support this transition, the province allocated nearly 800 billion VND toward 10 specific policies benefiting over 539,000 students and teachers. These initiatives include free textbooks, school milk programs, lunch support, and assistance for students in disadvantaged areas.

Looking forward, Quang Ninh plans to prioritize digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) within its curriculum. The province aims to maintain its high standing in national academic competitions and continue implementing the 2018 general education program with an emphasis on STEM and foreign languages.
