Quang Ninh province records 11.1% GRDP growth in first half of 2026
Quang Ninh's regional GDP (GRDP) grew 11.11% in the first half of 2026, slightly above the planned target. The service sector drove the strongest performance with a 14.27% increase, while industry and construction rose 11.00% and agriculture, forestry and fisheries grew 4.47%. State budget revenue surged 61% year‑on‑year to about VND 48,556 billion, and foreign direct investment reached USD 1.078 billion. Investment disbursement hit 96% of the six‑month target, far exceeding the national average.
Nationally, nine of Vietnam's 34 provinces and cities posted GRDP growth above 10% in the same period, led by Ha Tĩnh at 12.79%. Other fast‑growing provinces include Ninh Bình, Hải Phòng, Hưng Yên and Bắc Ninh. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City recorded steady growth of around 8% each, contributing roughly 12% and 22% to the country’s overall GRDP rise. Four provinces—Sơn La, Vĩnh Long, Cà Mau and Cần Thơ—registered growth below 7%, reflecting reliance on agriculture and limited industrial projects.
