Quang Tri authorities penalize students for exam misconduct

Authorities in Quang Tri province have announced disciplinary actions following exam misconduct at Le Truc High School during the 2026 high school graduation examinations. Following an investigation by the provincial police's security investigation agency, six students were identified as having violated examination regulations.

The provincial examination council has agreed to cancel the exam results for five of these students, including the son of the Le Truc High School principal. These students will be ineligible to sit for the exam until the following year.

Regarding the sixth student, officials have proposed a point deduction rather than total cancellation, citing a less severe level of violation. The Quang Tri Department of Education and Training is currently awaiting guidance from the Ministry of Education and Training to determine the specific penalty for this individual, which could range from a 25% to 50% deduction based on existing regulations.
