Quang Tri food poisoning: 42 suspected after eating bread

At least 42 people in Cam Lo commune, Quang Tri province, are suspected of food poisoning after consuming bread from a newly opened shop. As of the morning of September 15, 26 individuals are receiving treatment at the Cam Lo Regional General Hospital, while 16 others with milder symptoms are being monitored at home. The group of affected individuals includes eight students.

Patients reported gastrointestinal symptoms including abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, and signs of dehydration. The symptoms began appearing on the evening of September 14.

Local authorities have suspended the operations of the bread shop, identified as M.T., while food samples have been collected for testing and verification. The hospital has mobilized additional medical staff to manage the influx of patients and monitor their health status.
