Quang Tri resolves final land clearance issues for coastal road project

Quang Tri province is working to resolve the final land clearance bottlenecks for the coastal road component of the Nhat Le 3 Bridge and Coastal Road project. While 99.46% of the site has been handed over and compensation plans are 99.97% approved, small sections remain unresolved. Specifically, in Dong Trach commune, approximately 14 meters of land cannot be cleared due to a single household's disagreement with the compensation and support plan.

The project has a total investment of 2,487 billion VND, with over 2,155 billion VND (86.7%) disbursed to date. However, for the 2026 capital plan, only 197 billion VND out of 528 billion VND has been disbursed, representing 37.3%.

Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, Phan Phong Phu, has instructed local authorities and relevant departments to review records and resolve remaining issues in accordance with the law to protect citizens' rights. The province aims to achieve 100% disbursement of the 2026 capital plan and has urged contractors to utilize favorable weather conditions before the rainy season to make up for lost progress.
