Quantinuum and Oracle partner to integrate quantum computing into OCI
Quantinuum and Oracle have announced a multi-year strategic partnership to integrate quantum computing into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). As part of this agreement, Quantinuum will deploy its Helios quantum computer within an Oracle AI data center in the United States. This integration aims to provide OCI customers with managed, secure access to quantum computing alongside existing high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU resources, facilitating hybrid quantum-AI workloads.
In a separate industrial initiative, Quanta Computer and Quantinuum have entered a collaborative agreement to develop the hardware infrastructure, systems engineering, and manufacturing capabilities required for large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum systems. This partnership seeks to transition quantum technology from laboratory breakthroughs to commercially deployable, modular, and scalable manufacturing.
Additionally, Xanadu Quantum Technologies and the University of Alberta have formed a research partnership to develop quantum algorithms for cancer treatment. The collaboration focuses on accelerating the design of next-generation photosensitisers for photodynamic therapy. Meanwhile, Redwood AI Corp. has completed the acquisition of Vancouver-based Quantum. IQ Technologies, incorporating its post-quantum cryptography platform into Redwood’s technology base.
