Quantum BioPharma and tech firms advance quantum and biotech research

Quantum BioPharma has entered into a Study Start-Up Agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific to implement a Phase 2 clinical trial for Lucid-MS. The investigational drug, Lucid-21-302, is designed to treat progressive forms of multiple sclerosis by targeting the PAD2 enzyme to inhibit demyelination and provide neuroprotection.

In the quantum computing sector, Quantinuum has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The University of Western Australia (UWA). This partnership aims to advance Australia’s quantum capabilities by providing researchers and students with cloud access to Quantinuum’s full-stack platform, including the Helios quantum computer. The collaboration will focus on integrating quantum computing with AI and high-performance computing for sectors such as energy, agriculture, and healthcare.

Additionally, D-Wave Quantum Inc. is collaborating with the University of Arkansas to establish the Quantum Supply Chain Initiative Support Fund. This project will explore the application of quantum computing to complex supply chain management issues in retail, transportation, and national defense.
