Quantinuum partners with HPE to blend quantum computing into enterprise HPC
Quantinuum announced a strategic collaboration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to integrate quantum computing with high‑performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure for enterprise and research customers. The partnership will develop hybrid reference architectures, validate application workflows, and work with selected enterprises on use cases that combine quantum processors with large‑scale classical supercomputers. Quantinuum will provide access to its trapped‑ion quantum systems, developer environment and expertise, while HPE will contribute its HPC platforms and large‑scale deployment experience. The joint effort aims to create practical, hybrid solutions that can address high‑value scientific and industrial problems. Executive comments highlighted the goal of seamless quantum‑classical operation: “We envision a future where quantum computers work seamlessly with classical computers to unlock scientific discovery and practical, real‑world value for industries,” said Quantinuum CEO Dr. Rajeeb Hazra; HPE’s Masoud Mohseni added that the collaboration will help build scalable infrastructure for classical‑quantum applications.
