Quantinuum unveils roadmap for fault-tolerant quantum developer platform

Quantinuum has announced a new roadmap for its Nexus platform as a service, aiming to create the quantum industry’s first developer platform specifically designed for the fault-tolerant era.

The roadmap integrates application development and deployment with successive generations of Quantinuum hardware. A key milestone in this plan is the development of Apollo, the company’s first universal, fully fault-tolerant quantum computer, which is planned for 2029.

Nexus is intended to automate complex processes, including error-correction encoding, resource management, and hybrid workflow orchestration. This allows developers to build, validate, and execute quantum applications at the logical level, with the platform scaling in capability as the underlying hardware advances.
