Quantron establishes China joint venture for zero-emission vehicles

Quantron has established a new joint venture in China, named Quantron China, in partnership with autonomous driving specialist HyperView. Headquartered in Shaoxing, the venture has selected Foxconn as its industrial manufacturing partner.

The collaboration aims to combine German vehicle engineering with Chinese manufacturing, supply chains, and autonomous driving technologies. The partnership focuses on developing the ‘Gen2 platform’, a new vehicle architecture for zero-emission buses and trucks. This platform is designed to support both battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell powertrains, while integrating software, connectivity, and automated driving functions. The venture intends to serve markets in China, Europe, and the Middle East.

This new operation follows the restructuring of the Quantron brand under Andreas Haller Holding. In April 2025, Andreas Haller Holding acquired the relevant assets and a core team of 35 employees from the former Quantron AG following its insolvency proceedings. Quantron China represents a new corporate and industrial structure built around the Quantron brand under the Haller Group umbrella.
