Quantum BioPharma advances LUCID‑MS MS therapy to Phase 2

Quantum BioPharma Ltd. (NASDAQ: QNTM) announced that its proprietary multiple sclerosis therapy candidate, LUCID‑MS, is moving into patient‑focused Phase 2 trials after completing Phase 1 studies in healthy volunteers that showed a favorable safety profile and good tolerability. In April 2026 the company submitted an Investigational New Drug (IND) application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, clearing the way for the planned trial in people living with multiple sclerosis.

LUCID‑MS is a patented new chemical entity designed to prevent and reverse myelin degradation, targeting the underlying cause of disability progression rather than solely modulating the immune system. Quantum BioPharma intends to strengthen the program through a partnership with Allucent and collaboration with neurological specialists. The firm also retains a 19.84% stake in Unbuzzd Wellness Inc., earning royalties until $250 million in sales are reached, after which the royalty rate drops.
