Quantum Minerals drills beneath Mt Chalmers pit as First Quantum showcases 30 years at Zambia show

QMines (ASX:QML) began diamond drilling beneath the flooded historic Mt Chalmers open pit in Tasmania, using a purpose‑built floating platform. The campaign, part of a Definitive Feasibility Study, targets down‑plunge extensions of the copper‑gold deposit and aims to upgrade confidence in existing resources before moving to the Woods Shaft deposit.

First Quantum Minerals (FQM) Zambia used its stand at the Zambia Agricultural and Commercial Show to highlight three decades of responsible mining at Kansanshi and Trident operations. The company emphasized community investments in education, sustainable agriculture, healthcare and skills development, and promoted the Kalumbila Multi‑Facility Economic Zone as a future industrial hub.
