Quarter Up faces massive layoffs following ‘Invincible VS’ performance

Quarter Up, a subsidiary of Skybound Entertainment, has reportedly undergone massive layoffs following the commercial underperformance of its fighting game, ‘Invincible VS’.

Reports from former employees and internal sources suggest that approximately 75 percent of the studio’s workforce was let go. This equates to roughly 35 employees out of an original team of 50. The layoffs reportedly occurred in waves, beginning in June and continuing through July.

A skeleton crew remains at the studio to maintain game operations and complete the first planned DLC expansion, which is expected to introduce new characters such as Universa and The Immortal. The future of further content updates remains uncertain due to the reduced staff. Skybound Games and Quarter Up management have not issued official public statements regarding the redundancies.
