Quartetto Fancelli to perform tango concert in Lio Piccolo

The Quartetto Fancelli will perform the concert ‘Despues de Tango’ on Saturday, September 26, at 5:00 PM in the village of Lio Piccolo. This event is the second installment of the Festival delle Due Città, held in the municipality of Cavallino Treporti.

The ensemble consists of Daniela Rossi (violin), Massimo Santostefano (accordion and bandoneon), Ettore Chiurulla (piano), and Federico Francucci (double bass). The group was formed to honor the artistic legacy of Luciano Fancelli, a key figure in modernizing the accordion by transitioning it from folk music to more sophisticated, classical harmonies.

The performance will explore tango, South American music, and contemporary compositions, featuring pieces such as ‘Oblivion’ and ‘Adios Nonino’. Mayor Roberta Nesto noted that the event reinforces Cavallino Treporti’s position within the cultural circuit connecting Venice and Treviso.
