Quartetto Gelato releases eleventh album ‘Flight’

Quartetto Gelato has released their eleventh album, titled ‘Flight’. The collection is described as a crossover work featuring virtuosic arrangements of various classical pieces.

The album includes a ‘Rodeo and Juliet Suite’ arranged by Charles Cozens, which blends themes from Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, and Nino Rota with influences from Copland. Other featured works include arrangements of Vivaldi, Brahms, Handel, Paganini, and Faure.

The quartet consists of Colin Maier on oboe, English horn, and musical saw; Konstantin ‘Tino’ Popović on violin and vocals; Matti Pulkki on accordion; and Dobrochna Zubek on cello.
