Saquarema opens public contest for 80 lifeguard positions
The municipality of Saquarema (Rio de Janeiro) published Edital No. 002/2026 to fill 80 immediate vacancies, plus a reserve list, for the permanent position of guard‑vidas (lifeguard). Candidates must have completed secondary education, meet physical and mental aptitude standards and will receive a starting salary of R$ 1,690.05. Registration runs from 22 July to 24 August 2026 exclusively through the IBAM website, with a R$ 94 application fee that may be waived for low‑income applicants. The selection process includes a written multiple‑choice exam on 27 September 2026, a physical‑ability test, and an evaluation of titles and qualifications. Four percent of the total spots are reserved for persons with disabilities, and the contest also allows a reserve of candidates according to performance.
