Quatro Pontes launches free ukulele workshop for community

The Department of Culture of Quatro Pontes has launched a free ukulele workshop at the Casa da Cultura to expand musical and cultural access for the community.

The workshop aims to provide children, youth, and adults with opportunities to develop musical talents and discover new forms of expression. The ukulele, a four-stringed instrument of Hawaiian origin, was chosen for its versatility and ease of learning, making it particularly suitable for beginners due to its nylon strings which require less finger strength.

Beyond musical instruction, the initiative is designed to foster motor coordination, concentration, creativity, and socialization while introducing participants to basic music theory and instrumental practice.
