Quatro Pontes schools launch bullying and cyberbullying prevention initiatives

Educational institutions in Quatro Pontes, Brazil, have implemented initiatives to combat bullying and cyberbullying through community engagement and awareness programs.

At Colégio Estadual de Quatro Pontes, the Special Social Protection Service and CENSE of Toledo conducted an event for 8th-grade students titled “Atos Infracionais nas Escolas: Bullying, Cyberbullying e Consequências”. The session addressed the mental health impacts of bullying and the legal consequences under Law No. 14.811/2024. The initiative involved a multidisciplinary network including social workers, psychologists, and the Tutelary Council to promote a culture of peace and non-violent communication.

Simultaneously, Escola Municipal Dona Leopoldina hosted a “Café com Pais e Filhos” event for younger students and their families. This program focused on fostering dialogue regarding physical and verbal bullying, cyberbullying, and the importance of emotional expression. The activity aimed to strengthen the bond between families and the school, encouraging children to seek help and fostering a safe environment for student participation.
