Québec culinary event highlights local producers

The ninth edition of the Québec Table gourmande event is scheduled to run from October 30 to November 15. This autumn iteration features 80 participating restaurants, including 11 new additions, and aims to support the industry during the traditionally slower months of November.

A significant new feature for this edition is the direct integration of local agriculture into the dining experience. Each participating restaurant has selected one of 70 local producers from the greater Québec region to feature in their specific menu. Organizers designed a directory to facilitate these partnerships between chefs and producers.

The event seeks to drive revenue for restaurateurs during off-peak periods. During the spring edition in April, the initiative generated over 8,000 reservations and more than $620,000 in revenue for participating establishments.
