QUByte Interactive releases Thunder Hoop Collection

QUByte Interactive has released the Thunder Hoop Collection, a compilation of two 1990s arcade platformers. Developed in partnership with Bleem! and featuring titles originally created by Gaelco, the collection includes the 1992 game Thunder Hoop and its 1994 sequel, TH Strikes Back.

The games follow a protagonist navigating bio-organic environments and fighting mutated creatures created by Professor Daniel Genbreak. While the original focuses on a young laboratory subject, the sequel features an adult version of the character and introduces local cooperative play, enhanced vertical mobility, and zero-gravity flight sequences.

To modernize the experience, the collection incorporates emulation features such as save states, a rewind function to undo mistakes, and visual CRT filters to replicate the appearance of classic arcade monitors. The collection is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
