Quebec cabinet appointments feature three women

A recent reshuffle in the Quebec government has resulted in the appointment of three women to key ministerial roles.

Catherine Gentilcore has been named vice-premier and parliamentary leader, marking the first time a woman has held this position. She will also serve as the Minister of Immigration and Integration and lead the file on Quebec's accession to independence.

Marie-Karlynn Laflamme has been appointed Minister of Health, Prevention, and Seniors. Additionally, Marie-Claude Sarrazin has been named Minister of Justice, overseeing several other portfolios including secularism, access to information, and the fight against racism.
