The most notable price drops include oranges, which fell by 41.9% to $3.09 per kilo, and beef sirloin, which decreased by 31.3% to $23.22 per kilo. Other items experiencing double-digit declines include white sugar (14.2%), avocados (11.5%), margarine (10.9%), peanut butter (10.8%), and pears (10.5%).
Additional items with lower costs include crackers (9.4%), shrimp (8.9%), and baby food (7.9%). While these decreases offer relief to consumers, they represent only a portion of the overall grocery market landscape.
