Quebec national parks to offer free admission on September 12

Quebec's national parks will offer free admission on September 12 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Quebec National Parks Day. Organized by Sépaq, the event follows the theme “La grande (dé)connexion nationale,” encouraging citizens to disconnect from digital screens and reconnect with nature.

All 23 national parks in Quebec will feature special programming. At Grands-Jardins National Park, visitors can participate in nature activities led by naturalist park rangers. Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park will offer free river cruises (by reservation) and contemplation activities at the Acropole-des-Draveurs summit.

A highlight of the day will be a simultaneous “nature bath” at 1:00 p.m. across all provincial parks. Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, this immersive activity is designed to help participants slow down and engage their senses through contact with the natural environment.
