Quebec police seize over 160 g of drugs in Sept‑Îles

The Sûreté du Québec intercepted a vehicle in Sept‑Îles and seized more than 160 grams of hashish, cocaine, illicit cannabis, methamphetamine tablets, about 45 grams of crystal meth, counterfeit cigarettes, prescription medicines, drug‑selling equipment and cash. The haul was intended for distribution in the nearby communities of Havre‑Saint‑Pierre and Ekuanitshit. The 55‑year‑old driver was arrested, released pending further court proceedings, and may face possession‑for‑trafficking charges. Police urge the public to report any information on drug trafficking to the Sûreté du Québec’s criminal information centre.
