Quebec political candidates announced in Charlevoix and Vaudreuil

Political campaigning is underway in Quebec with new candidate announcements for the upcoming provincial election.

Dulce Vivar has launched her campaign for Québec solidaire in the Charlevoix–Côte-de-Beaupré riding. Drawing on her background in political science, economics, and territorial development, Vivar aims to address regional issues such as the housing crisis, public transportation, and the rising cost of living. She expressed a desire to increase her party's representation in the region.

In Vaudreuil, the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) has named Chantal Darcy as its candidate. Introduced by Vice-Premier Ian Lafrenière, Darcy has worked with families, seniors, and newcomers for over two decades. She aims to challenge the long-standing Liberal dominance in the riding, focusing on economic propulsion, social safety nets for organizations, and the defense of the French language.
