Quebec political parties announce new candidates

Political parties in Quebec have announced new candidates for upcoming elections. The Parti libéral du Québec has named Sana Arfaoui as its candidate for the Joliette riding. Arfaoui brings over 20 years of experience in the Canadian banking sector, including roles as a manager and advisor. She is a certified financial planner and professor who has conducted research on corporate governance and social responsibility.

In a separate announcement, the Parti Québécois has selected Elsie Lefebvre to run in the Berthier riding. Lefebvre, a political analyst and columnist, previously served as a Member of the National Assembly from 2004 to 2007 and as a municipal councillor in Montreal from 2009 to 2017. Party leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon highlighted her extensive experience in media and local business leadership as assets for the party.
