Quebec regions host cultural programming for Journées de la culture 2026

Various regions in Quebec are preparing for the 2026 Journées de la culture, a major annual event aimed at connecting citizens with the arts.

In the Haut-Saint-Laurent MRC, activities scheduled from September 25 to 27 include a collective art exhibition and photo contest titled ‘Révélation’ in Huntingdon. Other events feature the creation of a giant mandala in Ormstown, an ‘Arts Route’ where local artists open their studios, and the 6th edition of the Festival Terre Ferme, which showcases multicultural dance, song, and crafts.

In the Thérèse-De Blainville MRC, the 30th anniversary of the event will feature 28 free activities across 16 locations in cities such as Blainville, Boisbriand, and Sainte-Thérèse. The programming, themed ‘Culture does good: our motto for 30 years!’, includes workshops, conferences, historical tours, and various performances spanning technology, circus, music, and theater.
