Quebec's Brigade Splash water‑safety tour visits Côte‑Nord communities

The Brigade Splash, a water‑safety initiative of the Société de sauvetage and the Québec Building Authority, will travel to three sites on the Côte‑Nord region of Quebec in July 2026. The programme aims to educate the public, lifeguard staff and facility managers on safe practices to prevent drownings and water‑related injuries.

The scheduled stops are: - Monday 20 July – Centre socio‑récréatif in Sept‑Îles - Tuesday 21 July – Complexe Récréatif et Culturel in Port‑Cartier - Thursday 23 July – Piscine du parc Napoléon‑Paul‑Otis in Baie‑Comeau.

Participants will receive practical advice through interactive activities, emphasizing the motto “The best rescue is the one that is avoided.”
