Queen Anne-Marie celebrates 80th birthday with Greenland trip

Queen Anne-Marie celebrated her 80th birthday on August 30. To mark the occasion, her sisters, former Queen Margrethe II and Princess Benedikte, gifted her a trip to Greenland, where she visited Nuuk and Ilulissat accompanied by her youngest daughter, Theodora.

Marie Chantal, wife of Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece, shared a tribute on social media featuring rare archival photos of the ‘Danish Sisters’ alongside a modern family portrait. The images depict Anne-Marie with her sisters in her youth and surrounded by nine grandchildren today.

Reports indicate that Anne-Marie also spent time on Spetses to celebrate privately with family members.
