Queen at Sea trailer released for Juliette Binoche drama

Greenwich Ent. has released the official trailer for ‘Queen at Sea’, an indie drama written and directed by Lance Hammer. The film, which marks Hammer’s first feature since 2008’s ‘Ballast’, follows a woman named Amanda, played by Juliette Binoche, as she navigates the moral complexities of her mother’s advanced dementia.

The narrative explores the tension between Amanda and her stepfather, Martin (played by Tom Courtenay), regarding the autonomy and care of Leslie, Amanda’s mother. As Leslie’s ability to make critical decisions erodes, the family must confront difficult questions regarding consent, protection, and responsibility.

Following a premiere at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear Jury Prize, the film has earned a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It is scheduled for a limited US theatrical release on October 30, 2026.
