Queen Camilla visits Ebony Horse Club in Brixton
Queen Camilla visited the Ebony Horse Club in Brixton, South London, to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary. Having served as the club's president since 2009, the Queen remarked that the facility is getting “bigger and better” with each visit.
During the outing, the Queen met Taylor, a 17-year-old Fell pony that previously rode with the late Queen Elizabeth II. Taylor was rehomed at the club at the King’s request, alongside Maggie, a former royal carriage horse. Both animals are now used to teach local children and young people equine skills and care.
Founded in 1996, the club provides disadvantaged children and teenagers in the area with access to horses. The Queen also observed riding demonstrations and met with staff and volunteers at the center, which is situated under railway arches.
