House Democrats call for special counsel to probe Trump-Epstein ties FAST-MOVING

House Judiciary Committee Democrats have released a staff report calling for the appointment of an independent special counsel to investigate President Donald Trump’s alleged connections to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The report asserts there is sufficient evidence to launch a criminal investigation into whether Trump was actively involved in Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s.

The document includes a new allegation from Beatrice Keul, a former pageant contestant, who claims Trump raped her during a 1993 event at the Plaza Hotel. The report also accuses the Department of Justice of improperly limiting investigations and withholding material from Congress.

Donald Trump and the White House have denied all allegations, characterizing the report as a politically motivated attempt by Democrats to create a distraction. Trump has maintained that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities and previously stated he severed ties with Epstein after removing him from his Mar-a-Lago club.
