On 2 August 2026 the 16th edition of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest concluded in Palma de Mallorca. The ceremony, presided over by Queen Letizia, attracted a record‑breaking audience of more than 53 500 attendees, the highest in the festival’s history. The Queen presented the Master of Cinema award to French composer Alexandre Desplat and welcomed the Spanish film community, including Oscar‑winner Javier Bardem, director Rodrigo Sorogoyen and cast members of the newly premiered film *El ser querido*.

The festival’s official competition awarded Best Film to *Lionel* by Carlos Saiz, while other honors went to *Mala bèstia* (Best National Film) and *Blue Film* (Trends section). The event also featured a live concert by singer Júlia Colom.
