Queen Letizia attends nursing tribute in Madrid
Queen Letizia of Spain attended the II Homenaje a la Enfermería in Madrid, an event organized by the newspaper La Razón to honor the nursing profession. This year, the event focused on the theme ‘Cuidar la mente es cuidar la vida’ (Caring for the mind is caring for life), highlighting the critical role of nurses in mental health care.
During the event, which gathered over a thousand attendees, the Queen met with representatives from the General Council of Nursing (CGE). Natalia Rodríguez, first vice president of the CGE, expressed gratitude to the Queen for her support, noting that her presence helps bring visibility to the ‘silent pandemic’ of mental health issues affecting the population.
In addition to her professional engagement, the Queen’s attire drew public attention. She wore a white midi shirt dress by Carolina Herrera featuring fuchsia and purple watercolor-style floral patterns. The silk-blend crepe de Chine dress is a piece she has previously worn in official capacities.
