Queen Margrethe of Denmark returns to public duties
Former Queen Margrethe of Denmark made her first official appearance since her recent health issues on Wednesday evening. She attended a concert at the Fredensborg Palace Church to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the building.
She was accompanied by King Frederik X, Queen Mary, and her sister, Princess Benedikte. This public appearance follows a period of reduced activity and two hospitalizations earlier this year. In early September, she was hospitalized due to dehydration and a blood accumulation near her hip.
While she has maintained a lighter schedule since abdicating in January 2024, she has continued to participate in certain private engagements, such as receiving an honorary award from the magazine Alt for Damerne in late September.
