Queen Marie of Romania centenary book launched at Cotroceni Museum

The book ‘REGINA. Volum in honorem arhitectei României Mari’ was launched at the Cotroceni National Museum to commemorate the centenary of Queen Marie of Romania’s state visit to North America.

The event, presented by Bianca Radu of the League of Romanian Students Abroad, was attended by Romanian President Nicușor Dan and First Lady Mirabela Grădinaru. President Dan highlighted the historical importance of the Queen’s 1926 visit to the United States, noting its role in strengthening the deep-rooted partnership between Romania and the U.S., which has matured into significant economic cooperation.

Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church also shared a message regarding the Queen’s impact. He described her as an ambassador for the Romanian people in America and Canada, noting that her presence encouraged the diaspora to preserve their language and culture. The volume was produced by Romania Student Tour to honor the spiritual, cultural, and political reverberations of her journey between October and November 1926.
