Queen Rania visits Amman to inspect Amman Design Week preparations
Queen Rania of Jordan visited the Jabal Al Lweibdeh district in Amman to inspect preparations for the upcoming Amman Design Week. During her visit, she met with local entrepreneurs and toured the historic Darat Abu Adnan, a restored cultural heritage site that will serve as a primary venue for the event.
The Amman Design Week, held under the patronage of the Queen, is scheduled to take place from October 2 to 17, 2026, under the theme ‘Accumulations’. The initiative, launched by the Queen in 2016, aims to showcase the talents of local, regional, and international designers while positioning Amman as a creative hub.
During the visit, the Queen observed completed art installations and visited weaving workshops to speak with program participants. Her attire featured a white embroidered poplin midi dress by Dries Van Noten, accessorized with a burgundy Loewe leather bag, a Bottega Veneta belt, and Bottega Veneta Sofia 90 woven leather heels.
