Queen Silvia celebrated at Drottningholm Palace

The Swedish Royal Family gathered at Drottningholm Palace to celebrate Queen Silvia’s 50th anniversary as Queen. The milestone was marked by a festive concert at the Drottningholm Palace Theatre, featuring Alessandro Stradella’s oratorio ‘San Giovanni Battista’.

Princess Estelle, 14, made a notable appearance at the event, marking her return to royal duties following a summer break in the United States. The Princess drew significant media attention for her fashion choice, wearing a lemon-yellow minidress by Malina and making her debut in high-heeled shoes.

Other members of the royal family in attendance included King Carl Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria, and Queen Silvia. The event served as both a musical tribute to the Queen and a celebration of the 400th anniversary of the birth of Queen Christina, as Stradella was her favorite composer.
