Queen Silvia of Sweden is conducting official visits to Germany and Sweden focused on child rights and youth development. In Germany, the Queen is scheduled to visit Munich to attend events related to her philanthropic work, including the tenth anniversary of a German mentoring foundation and her involvement with the World Childhood Foundation.

In Sweden, Bavarian Social Minister Ulrike Scharf is undertaking a two-day trip to meet with the Queen. Scharf praised the Queen’s international commitment to protecting children through the World Childhood Foundation. The visit includes tours of Swedish youth organizations, such as Fryshuset, a large non-profit supporting youth in difficult life situations, and Barnahus, a multi-agency center for children who have experienced violence or abuse.
