Queen Suthida visits Japan for 2027 Women’s Asia Ice Hockey Championship

Queen Suthida of Thailand traveled to Sapporo, Japan, to attend the 2027 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s Asia Championship. The visit, which took place between October 14 and 22, 2026, followed an invitation from the President of the International Ice Hockey Federation.

During the championship, the Queen attended a match between Japan and Kazakhstan at the Tsukisamu Gymnasium. Following the game, she presented the ‘Best Player Awards’ to outstanding athletes from both the Japanese and Kazakhstani national teams.

Upon her arrival in Hokkaido, she was received by the Thai Ambassador to Tokyo, Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, along with various officials from the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Sports Authority of Thailand. She is staying at the InterContinental Sapporo.
